Geographic Research and Data, LLC, is a consulting firm located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and offering services in spatial problem-solving, specialized GIS data and analysis, and custom cartography for a variety of purposes.

Our special expertise is in the use of GIS for historical enquiry and visualization. We can assist clients with the creation, from primary historical data, of spatial and tabular data for use in a GIS; with training in such creation or consultation on particular issues in historical GIS data design and analysis; and with the production of professional maps showcasing client research.

Dr. G. Rebecca Dobbs, the firm's owner, holds a PhD in geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
